WELCOME

We are pleased to present the 3rd edition of the Total Body PET (TBPET) 2024 conference. We are proud that such an event will take place in Groningen-The Netherlands on 19-21 September to highlight the remarkable transformation in modern medical imaging, the Total-Body (TB) systems in PET imaging technology (TBPET).

As the most sensitive technique available for noninvasively studying physiology, metabolism, and molecular pathways in humans, the introduction of the TBPET systems has come into transition from pre-clinical into clinical applications, and this consequently expanded the scientific horizon with a manifold of novel opportunities.1,2 Industrial involvements have also largely contributed into the rapid advancements of this technology.

The series of TBPET conference has served as an important platform among PET imaging societies worldwide. The conference aims to provide a forum for exciting scientific discussions on the latest developments in TBPET systems, in preclinical and clinical research works, and in clinical applications of this game-changing technology. The previous TBPET conferences (1st edition in Ghent-Belgium and 2nd edition in Edinburgh-UK) have marked strong achievements in the TBPET research from preclinical into clinical applications.

The current 3rd edition of the TBPET 2024 conference is moving one step ahead towards clinical applications. With the motto ‘Total Body PET, The Future of Nuclear Medicine’, we focus on the clinical benefits of the TBPET systems, and of course we include all the technical developments in camera physics that contribute to this technology into the conference topics.

Groningen, little jewel of the Northern Netherlands, is known as a thriving energetic town, named as one of the happiest in Europe3, and home to excellent universities and colleges. It is also noted for its energy transition, healthy ageing, and progressive urban policy programs. Built on a long and proud history as a trading city, Groningen is rich of well-preserved heritage buildings and monuments. From our conference venue in FORUM GRONINGEN, you can feel the city’s stunning energy, the magnificent landmark of Martini tower, the century classical old streets with historical atmospheres, the canals and bridges along the city, and green landscapes around Groningen.

The number of attendees is limited to 250. If you are interested in attending this unique conference, please reserve your seat as soon as possible. First come first served !
